Rodney S. Staskievitz, 56, of Carrollton, Ohio, formerly of Vanderbilt, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, July 13, 2025. Born April 20, 1969, in Ypsilanti, Michigan, he was a son of the late John C. and Ann L. (White) Staskievitz.
Rodney spent much of his life working as an auto mechanic in Michigan before transitioning into the gas and oil industry, which led him to Carrollton, where he worked with Williams. Known for his strong work ethic and mechanical skillset, Rodney took pride in every job he did and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
In his spare time Rodney enjoyed camping, gathering for cook-outs to share meals with friends and family, putt-putt golf, and hanging out with his wife, children, and grandchildren. Rodney loved traveling for vacation with his family, with the plans to return to Grenada; his favorite destination. Rodney positively impacted everyone in his life and never left anyone without a smile.
He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Tammy; three children, Jennifer (Justin) Rogers, Megan (Josh) Swanson, and Rodney (Rachel Barrett) Staskievitz; and six cherished grandchildren, Trista Swanson, Tyler Kash Czykoski, Graysen Rogers, Scarlett Rogers, Milaya Rogers, and Joshua Swanson Jr. He leaves behind many brother- and sister-in-laws; Steve (Gwen) Hall, Penny Hall, Paul Goodwill, Joe (Carrie) Hanback, John (Sheri) Hall, Dan Hall, Jimmy (Tanya) Hall, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Rodney was preceded in death by his mother-in-law Virgina Greer; a brother, Jack Staskievitz; two sisters, Patricia (Randy) Fetters and Kathleen Callihan; brother-in-law, Doyle W Hall Sr; sister-in-law, Theresa Dunham; two nephews, Kevin Zachary Dunham and Joseph Hanback; and his favorite sister-in-law, Barbara Goodwill, who unexpectedly passed away one day before Rodney on July 12th, 2025.
