Rodney J. Twyne

Rodney Julius Twyne Sr. was born August 28,1945, in Bridgeport, Connecticut to the late Richard and Vernice Twyne. He entered eternal rest November 12, 2024.
He was educated in the Stratford school system. Graduating in Stratford High's class of 1964, where he was a standout member of Stratford High's track and field team.
Rodney was employed by the state of Connecticut, before pursuing his own business ventures. He loved his family and had many passions including dancing, his love for dogs and photography.
He also was active for many years on the Stratford Southend paddleball/racquetball club.
Rodney was a member of First Baptist Church and a life-long resident of the Stratford community.
On November 12th, Rodney was called home to the place that the Lord had prepared for him. Rodney's was predeceased by his brother, Richard Twyne Jr. Rodney leaves to cherish his loving memories his son's Mark Twyne, Marco Twyne and Rodney Twyne Jr., his beautiful daughter Charise Twyne-Stokes and his son in-law Kenneth Stokes Sr.
He leaves behind his 15 grandchildren: Tremaine Thomas, Terrel Thomas, Dayna Twyne, Chiavonne Kipping, Natasha Twyne, Vaughn Stokes, Kenneth Stokes Jr., Mark Twyne, Kyle Stokes, Janaisha Twyne, Kaomi Bowen, Trinity Twyne, Destiny Twyne, Laki Twyne, Xavier Coverson-Twyne and 11 great-grandchildren.
