Rodolfo Perez passed away peacefully on July 21, 2025, at the age of 97. He has now been reunited in eternal rest with his beloved wife, Corina Perez, his seven siblings, and many dear friends.

Rodolfo was a devoted husband, a loving father of four, an amazing grandfather and great-grandfather, and a cherished father-in-law. His life was defined by compassion, humor, and unwavering support for his family and community.

He touched countless lives throughout his journey-through his International IRS Agent career, his mentorship of young umpires, his lifelong friendships in the Northside neighborhood, and his work as a beloved substitute teacher at Mt. Carmel High School. Students, colleagues, and friends all spoke of his kindness, generosity, and his remarkable ability to make everyone feel like family. He truly never met a stranger.

A proud and devoted grandfather, he was a constant presence in the lives of his grandchildren. Known for quietly slipping them $20 bills, he'd still remind them with a grin, "We've got cheese at home," if they asked for an extra topping on a hamburger - capturing his practical, witty, and down-to-earth nature.

To his children, he was more than a father-he was a hero, a confidant, and a best friend. His presence, his stories, and the simple joys of watching Astros games together will be deeply missed.

While we grieve his passing, we also celebrate a life well lived—one filled with love, laughter, and service to others. We take comfort in knowing he is now dancing with our mom in heaven, surrounded by peace and joy.

Rodolfo is survived by his children Alta Nute, Rudy Perez, Norma Carter (Rick Carter), and Rick Perez (Patricia); grandchildren Eric Arnold, Alisha Coneley, Alexander Gwynn, Drew Perez, Kaili Perez, Lisa Farine, Rachel Perez, and Dillon Perez; and great-grandchild Cassandra Coneley.

Services will be held on Saturday, August 2nd. Visitation 11:30, Rosary 12:30, Funeral Mass 1:00, Commitment 2:30.

Rest easy, Puri Perez, de la Azteca!

Our Dad, We love you forever.
