Rodolfo was born January 25th 1960 to Rodolfo and Herminia Salazar in Guatemala City. In his early years he developed a love of sports. Basketball, football, swimming, and Soccer. He excelled in all of them, but his love of Soccer was profound and by far is Favorite. Rodolfo schooling was completed at Instituto Modelo Guatemala. He loved school, and learning.
Rodolfo served a mission for the LDS Church for 2 years in Honduras. He was VERY proud of his service to his Heavenly Father and has many stories he shared with family and friends. His mission prepared him for the rest of his life.
After serving his mission, he moved to California. There he met the love of his life Juanita. Together they started building their beautiful eternal family. They spent some years in California and then moved to Utah. Rodolfo began working as an Automotive Paint Specialist in Guatemala and continued his career in California and He had an eye for matching colors. This gift was God given, not learned. He met and had many customers throughout the years. They would request Rodolfo work on their vehicles. He prided himself in his work, and loved his career.
Rodolfo had a passion for life. He looked at every day as an opportunity to learn and grow. He was a light for all those he came in contact with. Whether it was waving Hi in the parking lot, to coming to your home for a visit. He made you feel like you were the most special person in the room. He loved being outside fishing, riding four wheelers, taking trips to Bryce Canyon, to seeing his favorite water falls in Utah.
One of Rodolfo biggest accomplishments, was coaching his sons in Soccer team. He had a love of Soccer. It didn't matter if he was playing, watching, or coaching you could always find him on the soccer field. The impact he left on the young men he coached, helped them in so many ways on and off the field. So many games, tournaments, trips to Cedar City he loved being with his Team.
Rodolfo's most loved Title was Dad and Grandpa. The impression he left with his children/grand children was that he loved them no matter what, and would be there anytime, anywhere. He made it his biggest priority for each child to feel loved, and show that he was PROUD of them. Rodolfo was there for every event, big or small front row with a smile on his face. From countless soccer games, dance recitals, school achievements, birthday parties, family gatherings, graduations, and so many more events.
Rodolfo had a Testimony of his Savior and of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He shared it openly to anyone willing to listen. His Testimony touched to many lives to count. If you came into contact with him, he made sure you knew that the Savior loved for you as you are. He served in various callings for the LDS Church. Through his service he met and created relationships that he treasured.
Rodolfo, you have served well and now you may rest peacefully. Your heavenly father opens the gates of Heaven for you and welcomes you with Love. Although you are gone from this earth, your spirit will live on with and in all of us. God be with you until we meet again.

Rodolfo, has servido bien y ahora puedes descansar en paz.
