Rodolfo "Rudy" Soto Sr.

Rodolfo "Rudy" Garza Soto, Sr., a lifelong resident of Lubbock, passed away on Friday, December 19, 2025. He was born on December 20, 1956, in Lubbock to Thomas Soto and Amelia Garcia. He was a welder by trade and a musician by heart. Rudy loved music, he played the guitar and sang with different groups in the area. He married Anita Sandovol on September 11, 2020, in Lubbock. Rudy loved spending time with his family. He will be missed by all that knew him.
Those left to cherish his loving memory are his wife, Anita Soto; two children, Rudy Soto, Jr. and Amanda Soto: four sisters, Patricia, Nina, Tina, and Mary: three brothers, Lupe, Noe, and Jesse: nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Rudy is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Amelia Soto.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 6:00 p.m. at House of Angels Funeral Home, 1928 34th Street, Lubbock, Texas 79411. Cremation services are under the direction of House of Angels Funeral Home.
