Rogelio "Roger" Alvarez Jr.

Rogelio "Roger" Alvarez Jr., aged 52, passed away on October 10, 2025, in Delhi, California. Born on November 25, 1972, in Merced, California, he was a cherished son, husband, father, and friend to many.
Roger attended Livingston High School. He worked as a welder and fabricator, dedicating years of service to Foster Farms and GNG Construction before retiring in 2021. He married his beloved wife, Erin Leigh Alvarez, on October 19, 2013, in Yosemite, CA.
Roger was a man of many interests, including fishing, hiking, cars, go-karts, video games, building, motorcycles, and shooting. He was a member of Saint Anthony's Catholic Church in Atwater, CA and Yosemite Church in Merced, CA.
He is survived by his wife, Erin Alvarez; children, Elvia, Yvette, Anthony, Samuel, and Easton Rogelio Alvarez; mother, Elivier Aguilar de Alvarez; siblings, Belen Alvarez, Eduardo Alvarez, Blanca Alvarez, and Elivier Alvarez; sister-in-law, Angelica Alvarez; and brothers-in-law, Jonathan Lozano and Daniel Pumpetch. Roger was preceded in death by his father, Rogelio Montejano Alvarez Sr.
A visitation will be held on October 20, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a rosary at 6:00 p.m., at Turlock Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on October 21, 2025, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Atwater, with burial to follow at Turlock Memorial Park.
