Rogene Marie (Goldammer) Goudge November 21,1923-November 2,2023 Rogene Marie (Goldammer) Goudge was born November 21, 1923, in Lincoln, Nebraska, to Theodore and Adelaide (Phelan) Goldammer. She passed away on November 2, 2023, 19 days before her 100th birthday. She spent her childhood in Lincoln, Nebraska. She worked for the Stover Candy company after a year at the University of Nebraska. She met her lifelong love, Fred Goudge, a U.S. Army Air Corps B-24 bomber crewman from Redwood Valley, California, at a USO dance at the Lincoln Airbase in the waning days of World War II. They were married in November 1945 and were together until Fred's passing in 2014. Rogene returned to college in her forties and completed a degree in home economics at the University of South Dakota (1967). She taught home economics for many years. Rogene and Fred traveled extensively in the U.S. and Europe. She attended the First Christian Church in Maryville, MO, and was active in the American Legion Auxiliary, managing the Legion's essay contest for high school students. She was also an active member of the Page County Farm Bureau, winning the "Woman of the Year" award. Rogene loved arts and crafts, gardening, animals, cooking, sewing, playing games with her grandchildren, and having her family home for the holidays. Rogene was preceded in death by Fred, her husband of 68 years, and her father and mother, Theodore and Adelaide Goldammer. Dodge, IA, son, Ted Goudge (Beth) Maryville, MO, grandchildren, Kimberly Hale (Clint Gorges), Brooklyn, NY, Kristen Geisler (Mike), Norwalk, IA, Geoff Goudge (Katie Kolb), Bellevue, NE, Eric Goudge (Erin), Avon Park, FL, Jennifer Goudge (David Weed), Mustang, OK, Andrew Goudge, Maryville, MO, Frederic Goudge, Liberty, MO, Olivia Goudge and Tad Goudge, Maryville, MO, Amanda (Nathan) Dempsey, Smithville, MO, Keegan (Seth) Scott, Maryville, MO; great-grandchildren, Eli and Logan Geisler, Norwalk, IA, Ellie, Emma, and Easton Goudge, Avon Park, FL, Hayden and Hudson Scott, Maryville, MO, Addison, Ethan, Paxton, and Annabeth Lager, and Saylor Dempsey, Smithville, MO. Visitation will start at 9:00 AM Friday, November 10, at the Price Funeral Home, Maryville, MO, with a service to follow at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at 3:00 at the Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, Lincoln, NE. Donations, in lieu of flowers, should be made to the Nodaway County Animal Shelter or the Maryville American Legion Women's Auxiliary.
