Roger E. Adams

Roger Edwin Adams passed away peacefully on February 16th. Roger was a resident of New York, since 1964, living in both Putnam County and Dutchess County. He was born in Dover NH to Oliver and Marie Adams in 1939 where his father was a popular teacher and football coach. He spent his summers on the beaches of York, Maine. After graduating high school, Roger served in the Air Force as a Fireman from 1957-1960. After his honorable discharge, he moved with his parents to New York, built a career at IBM, and met his beloved wife Teresa, in 1974.

Roger was an avid water-skier, body surfer and boater in his youth. He had a passion for boating and spending time with friends and family on the water. He was most at peace in Maine and visited York Beach every summer with his family. His children and grandchildren continue the tradition and share his great love for the beach. His vast knowledge of film and history, his kindness, his storytelling and wicked sense of humor will be missed.

Roger is survived by his wife of 51 years, Teresa; his son, Keith Adams (Janene Adams) and daughter, Faith Adams (William Jaeger); and his grandchildren Christopher Adams and Ashleigh Adams.
