Roger Allard Obituary

Roger D. Allard
1944 - 2025
Wilbraham
Roger D. Allard, 81, died peacefully on Monday, September 8, 2025 at Baystate Wing Hospital after a long illness, with his beloved wife of 55 years, Colleen (Hamborg) Allard, by his side. Born in Springfield to the late George and Lena (Tesini) Allard, he was a 1967 graduate of American International College, earning a BS in Business Administration and Accounting and was a Certified Public Accountant for over 50 years. Partners in life and in business, Roger and Colleen started Allard and Allard CPAs in 1976. He had an open door policy at the office and made himself available to his clients, regardless of how busy he was. Known for his kindness, thoughtfulness, sense of humor and attention to detail, Roger was a member of the MA Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs. An avid fisherman, Roger loved playing cards, bowling, mini trains, remote control planes and his cherished fish tanks. In addition to his wife Colleen, he will be dearly missed by his daughter Cindy Allard of Passaic, NJ and his many cousins. He is also survived by his brother Kenneth Allard and his wife Diana and their daughter Denise. Roger's family would like to thank the home health aides and the staff at Wing Hospital for the exceptionally compassionate care given to Roger. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 12th from 10AM until 12:00 Noon at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. Roger's Graveside Service will follow at 1PM in St. Michael's Cemetery, Springfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Assn., PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692, the TJ O'Connor Foundation for Animals, 66 Industry Ave., Suite 3, Springfield, MA 01104 or to the Boston Children's Hospital Trust, 401 Park Drive, Suite 602, Boston, MA 02215-5301.

If I took my shoes off I still wouldn´t be able to count the number of times I contacted Roger for financial assistance during my life...he was always there for me. His wisdom, his honesty, his quick wit and his valued friendship will continue to be strong memories. My father was a close friend of Roger as well...he would say that our purpose in life was to leave it better than we found it. Roger did just that.

Coleen and Cindy you´re in our thoughts during this difficult time and we pray your memories of Roger will always comfort you both.
