"Like I said" Roger K Bay, of Arkansas City, KS, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2025 at his home.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Roger was born in Arkansas City on November 20, 1952 to parents Herman and Carlene (Marshal) Bay. He graduated from Arkansas City High School in 1970. After High school, he married the love of his life, Cindy Hockenbury, on May 14, 1977. He started a career at Rubbermaid and was there for over 30 years. In his younger years, he was a rattlesnake hunter. He was a active member of the Bible Christian Church. Roger enjoyed smoking meat and at one point was a judge for the KCBS, woodworking, gardening, fishing, staining glass, and was a chicken guru. He loved cheering on Cowley baseball and was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
Roger is survived by his wife, mother, and sons Josh Bay (Kim) and Tyson Bay; grandchildren Kaycie Bay (Brent) and Logan Bay (Lakota); great-grandchild Booker Lee; siblings David Bay, Barbara Bay, and Cathy Horsch and beloved grand fur babies as well as numerous neices and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Booker Lee Education Fund for his great-grandson. Donations may be left in the care of the Shelley Family Funeral Home.
