Roger Paul Billiet, 63, of Anchorage, Ak, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2025, after a 3 year battle with cancer.

Roger was born in Harbor City, CA, to Ed and Shirley Billiet. His family moved to Alaska when he was 5 years old. Roger graduated from Bartlett High School in 1980 where he played hockey. He went on to play and coach hockey for many years. After graduation Roger joined the Alaska Department of Corrections at 18 years of age, as a jailer. He was soon hired by the Anchorage International Airport Police. He later moved to San Diego, CA and was hired by the San Diego Police where he spent several years until Alaska pulled him back home, as it does most of those raised here. When he returned to Alaska he worked for Palmer PD, doing undercover drug work and eventually was hired by the Anchorage Police Department where he served until retirement. Roger loved his work and was passionate about making his community a safe place for everyone. Roger was a dog and child whisperer, both loved him instinctively. His sense of humor and his undying love for his family were the core of who he was. He always put his people first and gave absolutely everything he had to those he loved. The hole he will leave in the lives of everyone who loved him, will never be filled but we are so grateful for the time we had with him.

Roger is survived by his parents, Ed and Shirley Billiet, his brother Ron Billiet, sister Brenda Glisson, his wife Robin Billiet, his son Michael Billiet and daughter Rachel Billiet, step-children Christopher Swan, Wes Hartlieb III, Ben Hartlieb, Amelia Raiche and Lisa Waugh.. He is also survived by 12 adoring grandchildren.

A celebration of Roger's life will be held August 2, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Cornerstone Church, 10431 Brayton Dr, Anchorage, AK. There will be a live stream of this service that can be accessed via this link: https://www.akcornerstone.org/private-live-stream
