Roger Eugene Bowman, born in Malvern, AR on August 9, 1945, bid farewell to the world on July 11, 2024, in Alexander, AR. He was a dedicated individual who served his country within the Army. Roger's passion for truck driving was evident throughout his life and career.
In his leisure time, Roger found joy in various hobbies and interests that brought him immense happiness. He had a love for collecting guns and attending classic car shows. His affinity for reading mysteries and westerns, especially those of John Wayne and Stephen King, showcased his diverse interests. Roger also cherished moments spent fishing and enjoying the thrill of drag racing.
Roger leaves behind a legacy that will be forever remembered by his dear family and friends. Roger was a devoted father to his daughters, Tabatha Corder (Gary) and April Venable (Kevin), as well as his son, Dustin Bowman. His grandchildren Tiffany Bowman, Brianna Venable, and Amelia Bowman will forever hold cherished memories of their grandfather in their hearts. His great-grandchildren Donavan Buckholz and Lailynn Buckholz brought him immense joy and pride. Among the surviving family members are also his sister, Louise Ramsey and brother, David Bowman. He is preceded by his parents; wife, Lynn Bowman; sisters, Edna "Earline" Byers, Tanga Evans, and Tonya Phillips.
A visitation followed by a memorial service will be held to honor Roger's life at Smith Benton Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 17, 2024. The visitation will take place from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, leading into the memorial service at 11:00 AM with friends and family coming together to celebrate the life of this remarkable individual.
Roger Eugene Bowman will be fondly remembered for his kind spirit, unwavering dedication to his loved ones, and his passion for living life to the fullest. May he rest in peace knowing that he touched the lives of many with his presence and will forever be missed yet never forgotten.
