Roger D. Coan, 50, of Indiana, formerly of Jamestown, passed away unexpectedly on September 2, 2025. He was born to Alice Ginley Coan and the late Roger L. Coan on August 4, 1975.

A 1993 Jamestown High School graduate, Roger had many cherished places of employment over the years. His favorite jobs included Vullo's Restaurant, The Summer Wind, and helping Paul Miletti with M&M Mobile. Roger additionally worked on the Mississippi Queen and was later employed by the Indiana School System.

For several years, Roger was an altar server at St. John's Catholic Church. After moving to Indiana, he was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, assisting with the operations of the church hall.

Roger is survived by his mother, Alice Ginley Coan of Jamestown; his sister, Heidi (David) Bane of Jamestown; his stepmother, Kerry Ecklof Coan; his half-sisters, Kaitlin (Josh) Kell of Jamestown and Melissa (Bernard) Bertran of Mississippi; his nephews, Caleb and Carsen Bane; his niece, Gia Kell; his brother-in-law, Matt (Tiffany) Kendall of Indiana; his father-in-law, Don Kendall; his nieces and nephews, Dylan, Evan, Felicia, Taylor, and Faith Kendall, all of Indiana; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Besides his father, Roger L. Coan, Roger was preceded in death by his wife, Kristin "Krissi" Kendall Coan, whom he was married to for 19 years; his uncle, Ronald Coan; his maternal grandparents, Donald and Emily Ginley; as well as his paternal grandparents, David and Mabel Coan.

The family will hold a public visitation at a later date.

Donations toward Roger's funeral expenses are graciously accepted by the family; further, they can be made to Lind Funeral Home, 805 W. Third Street, Jamestown, NY 14701.
