Roger Thomas Day, 91, of Humboldt, Iowa, passed away in his home on Friday morning, August 8, 2025.

Roger was born October 24, 1933 in Humboldt, the son of Fred LeeRoy and Georgia (McMahon) Day. He was raised and educated in Humboldt, graduating from Humboldt High School in 1952. Roger was drafted into the Army in 1953 and spent three years on active duty obtaining the rank of Sergeant, then continued his military career as part of the Iowa National Guard. On October 19, 1955, he was united in marriage to Donna Wilhelm in Lu Verne, with the couple making their home in Humboldt. Roger worked in the banking industry before opening his own real estate business. Roger had been a member of the Humboldt Fire Department, Humboldt Lions Club and Zion Lutheran Church. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, volunteering at the Humboldt County Museum, gardening and was an avid Iowa State fan.

Roger is survived by his wife Donna, children Michael (Sandra) Day and Michele (Mike) Sible, his grandchildren; Nicole (Jimmy) Raths, Thomas (Ellen) Day, Alex (Maddie) Sible and Jane (Aric) Moble, his great-grandchildren; Kaylie, Carter, Casey and Coby Raths, Frances Day and Maxwell Sible and his sister Norma Sisson.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 12th at Zion Lutheran Church in Humboldt. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at Zion Lutheran Church. Burial with military honors by the Sathers-Odgaard VFW & American Legion will be in Indian Mound Cemetery. The Mason-Lindhart Funeral & Cremation Service of Humboldt is in charge of the arrangements. www.masonlindhart.com
