In Loving Memory of Roger DeLeon
Roger "Rogelio" "Rojo" DeLeon age 32, of
Brighton, Colorado, passed away tragically in an accident on October 8, 2024. He was the youngest of 3 boys, born on July 17, 1992 to Diane Mascarenas and Robert DeLeon in Denver, Colorado. He was a gentle young soul that was taken much too soon.
Roger grew up around his two brothers and his many cousins being rambunctious and always getting into harmless mischief. Roger was a very quiet shy person who loved to play video games. He also recently took up the hobby of fishing and loved fishing with his Dad and uncles in the many rivers & lakes around Leadville, Colorado. Roger also spent a lot of his time keeping his Mom company while driving around on their many adventures around town. He was an avid sports fan and loved his favorite teams; the Los Angeles Chargers, Colorado Rockies, and Colorado Avalanche. Roger had a love for music and could often be found in his room or on his porch listening to music for hours on end. He also enjoyed spending time with his friends. Those closest to him shared one of his best memories which was a recent trip to San Antonio, Texas with his uncle Jessie. A story which he shared with anyone who would listen to his description of his view from the window of his first flight ever. The rare glimpse of Roger's shy grin will be missed by all who loved him.
This quiet young man was also known for his warm personality and genuine kindness. A beloved son, brother, uncle and friend, he touched the lives of those around him with his infectious laughter and caring nature. Their lives will never be the same without him.
He is survived by his parents Robert & Diane DeLeon of
Brighton, Colorado. His brothers, Fabian (Amanda) Mascarenas of Leadville, Colorado. Robert (Alyssa) DeLeon Jr of Colorado Springs, Colorado. His nephews and nieces; Mariah, Isaiah, Nicholas, Gabriel & Lil Rob. An abundance of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends all throughout Colorado and Texas, who will all miss him dearly.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Louie & Benina Mascarenas and his paternal grandparents Jesus & Elena DeLeon.
A funeral service to celebrate Roger's life will be held on Friday, October 18, 2024 at at 2:00pm Tabor Funeral Home 75 S 13th Ave
Brighton, Colorado. Friends and family are invited to join in remembrance and support during this difficult time.
May Rojo rest in eternal peace, and may his memory remain in the hearts of his family and friends and those who were honored to have had the privilege of knowing him.
