Roger Glenn Floyd, age 75, of Wartrace, passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family.
Funeral services, with full military honors, will be Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 12 noon at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel. Mark Pierce will be officiating.
Visitation will be Friday, from 4-8 PM and again at 10 AM until service time Saturday, at the funeral home.
He was born July 14, 1949 in Bedford County, to the late Rufus and Lizzie Richardson Floyd. He was a retired veteran of the U.S. Army and the National Guard. He worked at the EATON Corporation and retired while working at Newell.
Also preceding him death was his wife of 57 years, Patricia Floyd in 2023, a brother, Ralph Floyd, and a sister, Jean Floyd Driver.
Survivors include his daughter, Lori (Billy) West; a brother, Dudley (Mildred) Floyd, a sister, Barbara (Roger) Sanders, a sister-in-law, Thelma Cook, a daughter, Teresa "Swag" Swagerty, grandchildren; Chris (Megan) Martin, Michael (Stephanie) Martin, Kourtni (Cody) Glenn, Timo Murray, Tenley West, and Tucker West; great-grandchildren, Adaline Martin, Kaylee Martin, Caden Martin, R J Marshall, Laura Marshall, Jess Glenn, Walker Martin, Michael Murray, and T.J. Murray, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Feldhaus Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
