Roger Dean Frazier, 74, of Galesburg, died Saturday, August 10, 2024, at OSF St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg.
He was born January 30, 1950, in Galesburg, the son of Ebert Jackson and Polly (Powell) Frazier. Roger worked for Canada Dry Bottling for about 8 months. Lastly, he worked for Smurfit-Stone, formerly Alton Box, for over 30 years before retiring. Roger married Jennifer Sue Stegall on June 20, 1969, in Galesburg. She preceded him in death on October 28, 2023.
Left to cherish his memory is one son, Dusty (Jenny) Frazier; one daughter, Rachel (Rick) Nelson; and one brother, Jack (Sharon) Frazier; all of Galesburg. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 54 years, Jenny; four brothers: Mike Frazier, Junior Ray Frazier, Maurice "Red" Frazier, and Bobby Frazier; two sisters, Kay Frazier Wall and Wanda Frazier Dubler; and one grandson who preceded him in death on the same day, August 10, 2011, Dustin Alan Frazier, II.
Roger was a diehard Nascar fan. Back in the day, he enjoyed fishing and golfing. Roger will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday, August 16, 2024, at Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory. Cremation will follow. Memorials may be made to Safe Harbor or the Knox County Humane Society.
