Roger Jene Garberg

Roger J. Garberg, age 85, of Danbury, WI, passed away on May 22, 2025. He was born on June 3, 1939, in Minneapolis to the late Roland and Cecyl (Clark) Garberg. Roger married Jean Trautman on January 10, 1959, and together they celebrated 66 years of marriage. He and Jean owned a dry-cleaning business in Minneapolis. He later had his own tire service shop; was a pilot, and finally he owned and operated semi driving company until his retirement. His favorite things to do were hunting, fishing, cutting wood, and visiting family and friends. He had an unforgettable sense of humor and was a very social person.

Survivors include his 1st wife of 66 years, Jean; his daughter, Kimberly Dalnes; his son, John Garberg; his grandson, Rodney (Laura) Huber; his great-grandchildren, Lexi Pitchford, Nolan Huber, Nixon Huber, and Niles Huber; his sister, Linda (Peter) Jackson; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Beverly Garberg and his grandson, Benjamin Pitchford.

No services are planned. 

Roger's family would like to thank the staff on the 18th floor of St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth, MN, Essentia Health Hospice for the care they provided, and Dr. Welch and his infectious disease team.
