Graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday, October 15th at Fairmount Cemetery in Red Level with Brother Jerry Varner officiating and Foreman Funeral Home directing. No formal visitation is scheduled, the family will visit with friends at the cemetery.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Le Ann Griggs of Red Level; two grandchildren, Arabella Griggs and Clark Griggs; four bonus children, Terry (Robert) O'Neal, Shelly (Farhan) Hussain, Amy (Joseph) Morris, Raymond (Emily) Grider; four bonus grandchildren, Savannah O'Neal "Betty Jo", Hannah Hussain "Tammy Lynn", Asad Imran "Leroy", and Meryl Grider; two brothers, Larry Griggs of Cummings, GA and Jeff Spivey of Red Level.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lester Griggs and Christine Spivey; son, Preston Griggs; two brothers, Wayne Griggs and Eddie Griggs; and two sisters, Linda Rigsby and Kathy Aughtman.
