Roger Gunnell Obituary
Roger was born on January 5, 1951, in Danville, Virginia, to the late Carrol Edward Gunnell and Peggy Ann Carr Gunnell. He held a variety of roles throughout his career, including time with Carter Lumber, Blair Construction, and Anheuser-Busch. Outside of work, Roger found his greatest joy in fishing and fondly recalling his softball days.
He took great pride in a remarkable achievement: his participation in the Danville Claims Guiness Softball Game, which set a record as the longest softball game recorded-lasting an astonishing 90 hours, 3 minutes, and 7 seconds; 217 innings.
In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his brothers, Steven H. Gunnell and C. Edward Gunnell, Jr.
