Roger A. Hickman

Roger A. Hickman, 88, of Stow Creek Twp., peacefully passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at his home under the care of hospice and his family.
Born in Bridgeton to the late Chester A. Hickman and Naomi Myers Hickman, he was the husband of Alice Johnson Hickman. Roger was a resident of Stow Creek Twp. since 1975, prior to that he resided in Bridgeton.
He attended Bridgeton High School, Class of 1956 and was a proud Multiple Varsity Letter holder, having been a Bulldog for 3 years on The Football team. He led the team in the 25, 50 and 100 yard dash and played on both offense and defense. He was a Tight End and Quarterback # 30. His adult hobbies included many visual arts: painting, sketching and photography. He played Tennis, and flew airplanes (with his friend Lee Sutton) and stayed physically fit his whole life.
He was employed for many years as a Lithographer with Price Brothers Printing. One of the notable labels he worked on was the Borden Condensed milk can label( the one with the cow).
In his later years Roger was involved with the Bridgeton Hall of Fame Sports Museum. His family will be commemorating his High School Football dedication and contribution by adding a ball in his name to the Wall of Fame in January.
He is survived by; his wife Alice Hickman; four children, Marianne Hickman (David Raczenbek), Renee Fox (nee; Hickman) Michelle Lupson (Richard), and Susan Shapiro (Matthew); two brothers, Chester Gale Hickman, Carl Hickman and 8 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp., on Friday, December 26th at 11 AM. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the services. Interment will take place at Laurel Lawn Cemetery in Upper Deerfield Twp. following the services.
