Roger Dell Hunt, 77, of Hamlet, formly of Charlotte, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, August 17, 2021 in Concord.
Mr. Hunt was born January 12, 1944 in Robeson County, North Carolina to the late James Alton Hunt and the late Leatha Mae Locklear Hunt.
He was also preceded in death by wife of 39 years, Anice Sealey Hunt.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 2:45 pm, Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Harrisburg Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm in the sanctuary and be officiated by Rev. Bill Clevenger. Burial will follow in the Harrisburg Baptist Church Cemetery at 6525 Morehead Rd, Harrisburg, NC
Left to cherish his memory are two sons, Valentino Hunt of Rowland, James Hunt (Dusti) of Hamlet, daughter, Colleen Brasington (Johnny) of Concord. Also surviving are three granddaughters, Brittney Hunt, Sarah Hunt, Cheyenne Buchanan, one great-grandson, Kaiden Grant Hunt, sister's, Sarah Oxendine, Clara Owens, and brother, Glen Hunt; two step-grandsons, Michael Gresham, Jonathan Gresham and one step-granddaughter, Lily Gresham; caregiver, Sarah Paul and his beloved fur companion, Jackson Hunt until the end, as well as a host of family and friends.
