Roger Killian Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Dewald Funeral & Cremation Services Inc on Mar. 19, 2025.
Roger A. Killian, III, 35, of Pequea Township, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 16, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Amy L. (Thomas) Killian, with whom he shared 12 years of marriage.
Born in East Stroudsburg, PA, he was the son of R. Alan Killian, II and Susan L. (Hayes) Killian.
An area resident for his entire life, Roger was a graduate of Penn Manor High School, class of 2007. Following high school, Roger enrolled at Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology and earned an Associate's Degree in Automotive Technology, graduating in 2009. Roger first found employment as a mechanic at M & R Auto Center. He then went on to establish his own business, Honeysuckle Hill Auto Service, in 2013.
As a young man, Roger became a member of Boy Scout Troop 146, Conestoga, in 2000. After completing a project of planting trees at Silver Mine Park, he earned an Eagle Scout Award in 2008. A talented mechanic and avid car enthusiast, Roger was very successful with Honeysuckle Hill Auto Service and he quickly gained a reputation in the community of being honest and generous with those he served. He also enjoyed camping and he enjoyed having several dogs as pets. Roger was devoted to his family and he loved spending time with them. He was a member of Lampeter Church of the Brethren and had recently started attending Pequea Church.
In addition to his wife and his parents, he is survived by his children, Nolan, Lily, and Grayson, a twin brother, William (Amanda Gelber), paternal grandparents, Roger A. and Mary Ann Killian, mother-in-law, Rhonda Thomas, and a dear family friend, "Uncle" Donald Claussen. He was preceded in death by a paternal grandmother, Ruthanne Killian, maternal grandparents, William and Susan (Goodling) Hayes, and a father-in-law, Brad Thomas.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life for Roger A. Killian, III, at Pequea Church, 40 Church Road, Lancaster, PA 17603, on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 11 AM. Following the service there will be a time to visit with Roger's family.
