Kenneth Darrell Killian

Kenneth Darrell Killian, 91, passed peacefully into the presence of his Lord on December 9, 2025. Born on November 21, 1934, in Englewood, California, he was the beloved son of Foy and Ethel Killian. His life was marked by faith, family, service, and an enduring work ethic that touched many lives.

Ken served for over 20 years in the United States Navy as a Damage Control Specialist. His service included operations in the Korean and Vietnam wars. He also participated in Operation Hard Tack and was honored as one of the few Atomic Veterans. When Ken retired, he was known by his fellow sailors as a fierce horseshoe competitor.

Beyond his military service, Ken worked in the steel, security, and custodial industries. Ken was always dedicated to working hard and getting the job done right. After he retired, Ken continued to serve by cleaning his church each week.

Ken enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and cheering on the Denver Broncos and Colorado Avalanche. He had a passion for growing vegetables in his garden each year. Ken loved spending time with his family and supporting them at sporting events, outdoor activities, school, and band performances.

He was preceded in death by his wife Reba, parents Foy and Ethel, siblings Phyllis, Preel, Jane, Ted, Jay, Anita, and Elnora. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Rob and Kim, and Jeff and Kim, grandchildren Carla, Travis and Loryn, Chris, Derek, Emilee and Josh, and Cameron and great grandchildren Barrett, Holland, Sloane and Afton. He was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at 1:30 p.m. at Fort Logan National Cemetery with Military honors.
