Roger Eugene Kittrell, age 67, a resident of Columbia, passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at his residence.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home. A visitation will also be held on Saturday from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on February 6, 1958, in Columbia, Roger was the son of the late Willie Rufus Gordon and the late Connie Kittrell Martin. Roger was a beloved and familiar presence in the community. He built a lasting reputation as a talented beautician and participated in numerous hair competitions and shows. Known for his generous spirit, Roger gave back to the community by supporting local charities, especially those benefiting children around the holidays.
He is survived by his brothers, Willie Rufus Gordon, Jr., Antonio Gordon, and Michael (Heidi) Gordon, and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Lee Albert Gordon.
