Obituary of Roger Dean Krotzer
Roger Dean Krotzer passed away from complications of diabetes on June 3, 2023, in Olympia, Washington. He was born September 25, 1958, to William and Elaine Krotzer in Seattle, Washington. A resident of Yelm, Washington, the past 12 years, he also lived in Graham, Washington.
Roger graduated in 1978 from Mt. Rainier High School in Des Moines, Washington. He spent many summers working on his sister's farm in Rushford, Minnesota, and developed a love of farming. Professionally, Roger was an aerospace mechanic at Boeing for 32 years. He also served in many capacities as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, including Bishop.
Roger married Mary Sue Strinsky on April 3, 2011, in Yelm. He loved using his tractor, playing with his pets, serving others, working with children, and spelunking. He also loved playing Santa Claus during the Christmas season. He will be remembered for having a good sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Sue Krotzer; sons, Rick (Kylynn), Ron (Cassi), Ross (Desirae), Robby (Katie), and Rikel (Michelle); six grandchildren; brothers, Richard (Cheryl) Krotzer and Randy (Terre) Krotzer; sisters, Billie Woolstenhulme (Tim) and Pamela Carlson (John); and former wife, Jean Davis. His parents predeceased him.
Services will be held Saturday, July 8, 2023, 2:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 10423 Clark Rd. SE, Yelm, WA 98597.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your local Humane Society or ASPCA.
