Brenny Family Funeral Chapel - CrosslakeRoger Lee Kvistad (86 years old) died peacefully in his son’s home surrounded by family on Thursday September 11th, 2025. Roger was born in Aitkin Minnesota in 1938. He enjoyed going to the farm during the summer with his aunt and uncle Phillup and Marjorie Kvistad in Sacred Heart Minnesota. He graduated from Washington school of Brainerd in 1957. His first daughter Cindy was born in 1960, the same year his father died at the age of 50. Cindy was born just a few days prior. In 1966 Roger began working at the local Potlatch paper mill. His first son Mikal was born in 1971 followed by Mitchal in 1973. Then in 1980 he had another daughter Mandy and finally his youngest son Marcus was born in 1982. Roger retired from Potlatch in 2002 after 36 ½ years. In his retirement, Roger loved spending time with his children and especially his grandchildren whom he adored very much. Roger is preceded in death by his father Jens Kvistad, mother Ilene Jewel Kvistad, his oldest son Mikal Kvistad as well as multiple aunts, uncles, and cousins. Roger is survived by his daughters Cindy (Roger) Carlson, Mandy Kvistad, sons Mitchal and Marcus (Jessica) Kvistad as well as 14 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.
His greatest and final wish was for all his kids and grandkids to learn what it really means to live for the Lord. Not just on the surface. At the end of the day, we are either living for ourselves, or we are living for the Lord. Study the scriptures, learn what this means! Theres no middle ground here. If we are living for ourselves, we won’t enter his kingdom. It’s that simple! He wants to see everyone make it home. Love Roger.
