Roger Landeck Obituary
Born May 27, 1969, in Cleveland, Ohio, Roger was a graduate of Chancellor High School. He was a proud and dedicated participant in the Special Olympics, where he earned numerous medals in swimming and enjoyed playing basketball. He was also actively involved with RACSB and the Rappahannock Goodwill, where he found joy, purpose, and community.
Survivors include his partner, Martha Andrist; mother, Normita I. Herwig; stepmother, Linda L. Landeck; siblings, Veronica Landeck Bast, Robert Landeck (Cameron), Scott Margolis (Karen), and David Margolis (Marissa Rexer); nieces and nephews, Julian Bast, Lauren Graham, Gabriel Bast, Donovan Bast, Zane Landeck, Miles Landeck, Michael Margolis, and Matthew Margolis; and great-nieces, Leela and Arjuna. He was preceded in death by his father, William L. Landeck.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at RACSB, Berea Health & Rehab, VCU Medical Center, and Compassus Hospice Services for their compassion and care.
A service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 20, 2025, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home chapel. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Special Olympics (or by mail to: Special Olympics, Attn: Web Gifts, 2600 Virginia Ave. NW, 11th Floor, Washington, D.C. 20037).
