AUBURN - Roger G. Lewis, 76, passed away Monday June 10, 2024 at his home in Auburn.
He was born in Winchester, Indiana, on Dec. 13, 1947, to Marvin and Alta (Dobbs) Lewis.
Roger worked for Dana Corporation in Hagerstown. He then transferred to the Auburn plant in 1993 and worked for Dana/Eaton Corporation until his retirement after 33 years in 2001. After retiring, he worked at DeKalb Memorial Hospital for a number of years.
He was a member of the Auburn Shifters Car Club and the Auburn Moose Lodge. He enjoyed his cars and tinkering. He was a jokester, story teller and collector of anything and everything. He liked putting puzzles together, golfing and his dog Wally.
Roger married Janet Kae Fisher on Aug. 22, 1971, in Hagerstown, and she passed away June 11, 2021.
Surviving are a daughter, Kelly Lewis of Auburn, and a son, Kyle (Lori Davis) Lewis of Auburn; a granddaughter, Kylie Lewis: two sisters, Cathy Stamback of Connersville and Vanessa Cross of Modoc; a brother-in-law, John Scott (Kim) Fisher of Cleveland; and a sister-in-law, Debbie Lewis of Farmland.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and four brothers, Ralph Lewis, Gerald Lewis, Ronnie Lewis and Carl Lewis.
Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Culberson Funeral Home, 51 Washington St., Hagerstown, with calling two hours prior to the service, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Burial will follow the service in Westlawn Cemetery in Hagerstown. Pastor Jason Hendricks will officiate.
Additional calling will be Thursday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center Street, Auburn.
Memorials can be given in memory of Roger to the family in care of Kelly Lewis to be put towards Roger's granddaughter's education. To send condolences to the family, visit www.fellerandclark.com.

So many memories come to mind....my cousin Roger and I playing together and later helping each other master the maze of growing up. He was a special cousin and confidante and will be missed.
