Roger Dale Mason passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.
After 26 years in the Coast Guard, he retired as a Lt. Commander, he went on to continue working for the USCG as a civilian for several years before retiring a second time from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association (NOAA) after 20 years.
Preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Mary, his parents J. W. Mason and Lucille Brewer, brothers; Michael and Jerry, grandchildren; Mandolin and JT.
He is survived by his sister, children, grandchildren, and other extended family members.
LT. Commander Roger D. Mason will be laid to rest at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, Thursday, June 29, 2023 at 9:30am.
