Roger Lee "Robbie" Menear, 72, of Masontown, WV, passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2025, quietly at home surrounded by family at his side.

He was born May 26, 1953, in Morgantown, WV, a son of the late Dorothy Jean Chipps Braham and his stepfather, the late William F. Braham.

Robbie worked for DeCondor Coal – Hovatter's – for many years. He later worked for a landscaping company in Oakland, MD, and finally alongside his brother, Skip, at Scott Hill Auto. Robbie loved building engines, hunting, fishing, and riding his side-by-side. He never turned down a good joke and always being fast at a comeback on what anyone said. Above all, Robbie loved his family and his three cats, Smokey, Bear, and Tank.

Robbie is survived by his wife of 48 years, Janice F. (Smith) Menear; three daughters, Tracy M. Sypolt and husband, Charles "Charlie" Sr. of Kingwood, Loni L. Seng and companion, Eddie of Boonville, IN, Robin L. Metz and husband, Anthony of Pilot Mountain, NC; nine grandchildren, Charles Sypolt Jr., Mitchell Sypolt, Caden Sypolt, Kendra Sypolt, Caleb Seng, Avery Seng, Kyle Zinn, Ryan Metz, and Malesa Metz Taylor; two great grandchildren, Tavyn Zinn and Talon Mace; one sister, Shelly L. Stiles and Scott of Kingwood; two brothers, William "Skip" Braham Jr. and wife, Debbie and Bradley Braham and wife, Mary all of Kingwood; extended family, Jerry, Alexis, Missy, Paul, Kevin, David, Darrell, Mikey, and Kenny all whom he thought of as brothers and sisters and his brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, which held a special place in his heart.

In addition to his mother and stepfather, Robbie is preceded in death by a brother, Thomas D. Braham.

Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown, WV, on Saturday, August 16, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at 3:00 pm with Pastor Casper Dalton officiating. Interment will follow at the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
