Roger Millett Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bowers Funeral Home - Houlton on Mar. 11, 2026.
LINCOLN – MAINE On the evening of Saturday, February 28, 2026, Roger V. Millett, 69, passed away peacefully and comfortably. He was born in Columbus, Ohio November 18, 1956. The youngest son of Gerald Millett, Sr. and Cynthia Millett (Carlow).

If you didn't truly know him… then you only ever saw pieces. That man was built through a lifetime of battles-and he never broke. His resilience was unquestionable. His compassion was undeniable. His music spoke for itself. And the way he loved… you don't fake that. He loved his people. He loved his family.

He is survived by his son, Daniel Arthur Millett, and grandson, Spencer J. Prescott Millett, both of Lincoln, Maine. He is also survived by his brother, Gerald A. Millett, Jr., of Lowell, as well as his nephew, Jason Millett, of Lee, Maine, and his niece, Angie, of Copperas Cove, Texas.

He wasn't just a good man. He was an amazing man. A loving father. A proud Pepaw. A true friend. He fought almost his entire life… just to live it. And even in these last few years, through everything, he never stopped trying to push something good forward. Always reaching for light. For love. For something better. He could sit down and write out *Amazing Grace* from memory-verse after verse-by hand. And if he heard a song once, he could play it back like it lived inside him. That kind of soul doesn't come around often. more than anything… he taught what really matters: Love. And compassion. That's one of the greatest gifts anyone could ever pass on in this big, beautiful world.

His family will let the public know when the time comes for his celebration of life. "Infinity times the universe"… that's how much he loved his people. And his people will understand exactly what that means. His family will share details for a celebration of life at a later time.
