Roger W. Ozmun, age 89 of Le Sueur, MN and formerly of Faribault, MN passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at Oak Terrace Senior Living in Le Sueur, MN.
Roger Willard, the son of Henry and Olive (Hendrickson) Ozmun was born on March 1, 1936 in Northfield, MN. He attended Northfield High School and then served in the U.S. Army National Guard. On December 17, 1955 he was united in marriage to Janet Ress in Faribault, MN. Janet preceded him in death on February 7, 2008. Roger was a longtime butter maker in the dairy business, starting with Rice County Dairy then Voegel’s Creamery and finishing with Land O Lakes. Later he worked at Fairway in Northfield, MN. While in the dairy business, Roger won many State Fair awards for his butter making. Roger was an avid Nascar fan and enjoyed going to stock car races. He collected Nascar die cast cars, especially Dale Earnhardt cars. He and Janet also enjoyed antiquing.
He is survived by his daughters, Debra Swenson of Kentucky, Sandra Kurtenbach of Nebraska, Nancy Ozmun of Duluth, MN and Pauline (Tim) Busch of Le Sueur, MN; by 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; by two sisters, Jean Hagenbrock of Black River Falls, WI and Charlotte Teske of Faribault, MN; by brother-in-law, Stan Babcock of Faribault, MN; by two sisters-in-law, Linda Ozmun and Teresa Ozmun, both of Faribault, MN and by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff at Oak Terrace Senior Living for their kind and compassionate care for Roger.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and seven siblings, Marlys Ozmun, Arlene Bronstad, Duane Ozmun, Irene Ozmun, Marcelle Babcock, Robert Ozmun, Maxine Voegele and Chuck (Kathy) Ozmun.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault, MN with Pastor Lisa Meshke from First English Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will be held at Meadow Ridge Memorial Park, Faribault.
Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
