Roger Lee Paugh, 78, of Swanton, MD, passed away on January 6, 2026. He was born on October 4, 1947, in Oakland, MD. Roger will be remembered as a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Roger graduated from high school and later enjoyed a fulfilling retirement. He had a passion for sports, particularly football, baseball, and NASCAR. A dedicated fan, he proudly supported the San Francisco 49ers and the New York Yankees, often cheering them on enthusiastically.
In his spare time, Roger cherished memorable moments with family and friends, sharing stories and laughter. His warm spirit and sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He will be laid to rest at a burial site on 2445 Mt. Zion Road, Swanton, MD 21561.
He is survived by his children, Brian Paugh and wife Brenda of Joppatown, MD, April Karavis and husband Mark of Stewartstown, PA, and Thomas Paugh and wife Raven of Norwich, OH; grandchildren, Karen Paugh, Keith Paugh, Michael Paugh, Ian Karavis, and Gabrielle Paugh; great-grandchildren, Morgan and Evelyn Paugh, and Joseph Xavier; and siblings, David, Carl, John, Ray Paugh, and Opal Michaels.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Paugh; and his siblings, Kenneth Paugh, Roy Paugh, Roberta Kinser, Sylvia Tichnell, Corina Wyant, Everett Paugh, and Marie March.
Friends will be received on Monday, January 12, 2026, from 5 to 8 PM, at the Fredlock & Fenner Funeral Homes, P.A. - Kitzmiller Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 11 AM in the Walnut Bottom Church with Pastor George H. Tichinel officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
