Roger Riddle Obituary
Roger was the cool California surfer guy who ended up at Grantsville High School where he met a beautiful red headed girl. They dated throughout high school and graduated in 1966. They were only briefly separated while Kathy attended Utah State University and Roger went on to serve his nation in the United States Navy. Roger served proudly in the Vietnam War earning many awards and medals for the work he performed as a quartermaster. Upon returning, Roger asked his high school sweetheart to join him in marriage. They married in 1970 and settled in San Diego while he finished his service. They returned to Utah to build their lives and create a family together. Throughout the years they continued to making memories together, including trips to the coast of California, and recently many trips to the Oregon coast to visit the ocean which they are both deeply fond of. They have three children, Laura (Jason) Barton, Wendy Riddle, and Ryan Riddle. They have 6 grandchildren. Roger worked hard in his career as an electrical engineer. He always enjoyed working in his yard. After retirement, he took to woodworking, and spending time with his dog Rudy, which helped him retain his busy spirit. His loved ones will always be grateful for his natural ability to make all feel loved and welcome. His good nature will never be forgotten. Survived by his brother Wayne Riddle, his sisters Kim Smith and Joy Palmer.
Funeral services will be held on September 27, 2019. A viewing will be held at 12:00pm and services at 1:00pm. His interment will be at the Memorial Redwood Cemetery located at 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84123.
