LIVE STREAM ROGER RITCHEY SERVICE
Roger Daniel Ritchey, affectionately known as Danny, was born on September 19, 1953, in Dayton, Ohio. He passed away on December 24, 2024, in Maineville, Ohio, leaving behind a legacy etched in the hearts of his loved ones.Danny's early life was deeply rooted in the rural traditions of a dairy farm, where he grew up helping his dad milk cows and working long hours in the hayfield. This background instilled in him a strong work ethic and a profound appreciation for the outdoors. He was known for his pride in maintaining a beautifully mowed yard and took joy in connecting with new people throughout his life. Throughout his life, Danny dedicated himself to service, first at Vitales in Morrow and later at Kroger's in Landen. His colleagues and customers alike will remember him for his kindness and work ethic. An alumnus of Little Miami High School, Danny carried the lessons of his education into all his endeavors. He is survived by his devoted wife Candace (nee Shields) Ritchey, who he married on February 17, 2007. The couple celebrated a beautiful renewal of their vows in early 2024 at Oeder's Lake, a testament to their enduring love. Danny is also cherished by his siblings: Sharon Ricketts, Janet (Chris) Lutes, and Deborah (Kenneth) Osburn. He took pride in being an uncle and is remembered fondly by his nephews Jason (Ashley) Ricketts, Richey Ricketts, Jeremiah (Christine) Lutes, Malachi (Jennifer) Lutes, and Michael (Cassie Burchett) Osburn, as well as his niece Sarah Ricketts Williams. His legacy will continue to shine through his great-nieces Isabella Miller, Anna Rose Ricketts and Arabella Williams and great-nephews Pierce Ricketts, Nathan Ricketts, and Nolan Ricketts. Danny will be forever remembered for his simple joys, including his love for Pepsi, Hershey Bars, and Chocolate Milk. He had an easy way of brightening the lives of those around him, and his passion for life was contagious. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Wilbur and Virginia (nee Barot) Ritchey, and his brother-in-law Victor Ricketts. Danny's life will be celebrated at Mueller Funeral Home, located at 6791 Tylersville Rd, Mason, Ohio 45040. Visitation will take place on January 2, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service beginning at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Alzheimer's Association or Hospice of Cincinnati. As family and friends gather to honor his memory, they will remember Danny not only for his warm spirit but also for the love that he shared with those fortunate enough to know him.
