Roger "Rocky" Langlois

Roger Amedee “Rocky” Langlois Jr., 68, of Newberry passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at his home.

Born on January 12, 1957 in Norwich, Connecticut, he was a son of the late Roger Amedee Langlois Sr. and Alice B. (Pike) Langlois. Rocky was employed as a welder, getting his start with General Dynamics Electric Boat and retiring from the Boilermaker’s Union, Local #237. Rocky was a “jack of all trades,” he enjoyed tinkering in his shop and there wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix! He enjoyed listening to music, antiquing, gardening, and above all else, the countless miles he’d spent on his Harley-Davidson.

Rocky is predeceased by his beloved wife of 34 years, Amanda Faye Langlois; brothers William Corey, Roger Corey, Dwight Corey, and sister Carolyn Corey.

Rocky is survived by his devoted fiancé Tammy C. Wilson of the home; daughters Jaydyne Dora (Michael) of Moira, NY, Tina Lafontaine (Scott) of Ashford, CT, Shelby Langlois (Josh) of Newberry, SC and a bonus daughter, Kymberly Wilson of Newberry, SC; grandchildren Mchayla Lafontaine, Hailey Perry, Hannah Perry, Lucas Lafontaine, Logan Lafontaine, Asher Dora, and Gavin Davis. Rocky is also survived by siblings Gail Fogerty (Neal) of Dayville, CT, Antoinette McNeill of Killingly, CT, Pamela Lupien of Mesa, AZ, Sandy Roush of Skiatook, OK and David Corey of Portland, OR; godson Christopher Langlois of Danielson, CT along with many nieces and nephews.

All are welcome for an informal service celebrating the life of Rocky at 3:00 pm Sunday, November 9, 2025, at West End Baptist.  The family will receive friends following the service.
