Roger Sloat Obituary
Roger B. Sloat, 68, of Manheim passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, February 20, 2026. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late William A. Sr. and Theda DeShong Sloat. He was the loving husband of Elaine Nauman Sloat and they observed their 49th wedding anniversary this past October. Roger retired as a forklift operator for Johnson & Johnson, Lititz.
An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and loved to spend time with his family.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two children, Brian Sloat of San Diego, CA and Stacy Sloat wife of Stephanie Sheidy of Lebanon and a brother, William A. II husband of Evelyn Sloat of Ephrata.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Roger’s Memorial Service at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at 6:30 PM. Friends may visit with the family from 5:30 PM until the time of service. Roger’s Memorial Service will be live-streamed on the Buch Funeral Home website. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may send contributions in Roger’s memory to Precious Paws, P.O. Box 144, Manheim, PA 17545.
