Smith, Roger Crapser - Swartz Creek, Age 93, died May 7, 2025 at Henry Ford Genesys Hospital. Funeral services will held at 1 PM Monday, May 12, 2025 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, MI 48473 with Rev. Carol Bouse and Rev. Mike Perez officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Linden, Michigan. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Sunday, May 11, 2025 and from 12 PM - 1 PM Monday at the funeral home. Those desiring may memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Genesee County. Roger was born July 9, 1931 in Flint, Michigan. He married Dolores Coverdill June 30, 1951. Mr. Smith retired from full time duty with the Michigan Army National Guard in 1986 after 38 years of service having served many months as a Command Sergeant Major. Surviving are four sons, Clark of Panama City, FL, Mark (Sue) of Vernon, Bryan of Grand Blanc, Phillip of Swartz Creek; four grandchildren, Jason, Kevin, Holly, Nicole; great-granddaughter, Ava Lynn. He was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Dolores and his parents, Russell and Mildred Smith. www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
