Roger Lee Stancombe, 57, of Shelocta passed away Thursday, June 12, 2025 at Embassy of Hillside Park, Hillsdale, after a long, courageous battle with Huntingtons Disease.

Roger was born February 14, 1968 in Indiana, PA to the late William "Bill" Stancombe, Sr. and Jean (Greenwalt) Stancombe.

Roger was a loyal Pittsburgh Steelers fan. When he wasn't watching a game, he could be found in the garage working on a demolition derby car. He was well known on the track and proudly displayed the 721 which will forever be his number. He loved classic cars, Bob's Pizza, Ocean City, Maryland in his younger years with his favorite cousins for boys week. Most importantly, he loved his family and friends. He loved to make people laugh, he always had a joke to tell or as he would say "an announcement". Roger was kind, hardworking, devoted, and would go out of his way to help anyone. He will be greatly missed by all those who had the pleasure to know him and to love him.

Roger leaves behind his loving, devoted wife of 26 years, Tracey (Cochran) Stancombe, whom he married June 13, 1998. One daughter, Cori Stancombe, and her partner Danny Zovich. Three grandchildren, Destiny Brewer, Carson and Grace Capps. A special aunt Judy and uncle Rick Stancombe. One sister, Vicki (Stancombe) Weaver. One Brother, Jeff (Kathleen) Stancombe. Brother-in-law, Ronnie (Lori) Cochran. Sister-in-law, Bonnie (Aaron) Barnhart. Nieces Denise Merrit, Christina (Brian) Jodon, Vickie (Chris Szalancey) Weaver, Jessica (Michael) Pinkerton, and Reise (Dennis George) Cochran. Nephews, William "Billy" (Jacklynn) Stancombe, III, Charles (Katie) Stancombe, Kody Stancombe.

Roger had a very special bond with his niece Mikaila (Nicholas) Woods, where she learned her incredible driving skills, and his nephews Cameron and Hayden Haight, that he will always be incredibly proud of. He will be watching Hayden play football from the best seats in the house. And nephew Cole Barnhart, who helped build his very last derby car.

He is also survived by numerous Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. Great-nephews, Christopher Szalanczy and Dante Henry. One great-niece, Ellie Woods, and too many amazing friends to list.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, William "Bill Stancombe, Jr., brother-in-law, Jesse Weaver, father-in-law, Alex Cochran, and mother-in-law, Donna Burnhiemer.

A special thinks to Sarah and the staff from 365 Hospice and all of the amazing nurses and staff of Embassy of Hillsdale who made him feel like family for the last three years, and the staff of Bayada Home Health.

Friends will received Monday from 3pm until the time of service at 7pm at John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home. Pastor Dick Motzing will officiate. Burial will be private on Tuesday in Union Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Huntingtons Disease Society of America, or the American Red Cross in Roger's honor.
