Rev. Roger Dale Tillery, 74, of Worth County, GA, died February 13, 2025 from injuries received in an automobile/motorcycle accident. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 17, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Kenneth Thompson will officiate. Interment will follow in Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Roger was born on April 17, 1950 to Rudolph and Juanita Tillery in Albany, GA. He was raised in Albany, GA and graduated from Albany High School. After graduating, he joined the United States Army and served his Country during The Vietnam War.
Roger lived in the Albany area most of his life and was employed with Beck Motor Company and Pritchett Ford as an Auto Body Mechanic before working for Crawford and Company before his retirement. Roger was a member of New Hope Full Gospel Church in Sylvester, GA and was a member of the Warriors of Faith Motorcycle Club. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding and spreading the Gospel. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Tillery.
Survivors include his son Wendell Tillery (Kishia), a step-son Scott Martin and a sister, Lequita Satten all of Lee County, GA, a brother Randy Tillery of Albany, step-daughter La Rhonda Croker of Albany, GA and step-son Doster Glass of Lee County, GA. Grandchildren: Mikaela Dismuke, Angela Hope, Madyson Tillery, Grayson Tillery, Jonathan Martin, Jessica Martin, Christian Glass, 3 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm before the service on Monday at Mathews Funeral Home.
