Roger Lynn Watkins Sr.

Roger Lynn Watkins Sr., 87, passed away on December 8, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born on December 24, 1937, in Bono to Payton and Jewell Watkins.

Roger was of the Church of Christ faith and was a member of Valley View Church of Christ. In his younger years, he enjoyed riding motorcycles, spending time at the lake, camping, and traveling in his RV. He was always tinkering with something and always had something going on. Roger also enjoyed collecting antique cars and enjoyed moments spent with his family, especially during birthdays and holidays. He had a deep love for dogs and took great joy in rescuing strays in need of a home.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Karen Jan Sullivan.

Roger is survived by his loving wife, Sylvia Watkins; his son, Roger Watkins Jr. (Linda); his daughter, Leah Watkins (Mark Loggins); his brother-in-law, Sam Sullivan; and two nephews.
