Roger Waugh, 87, passed on Friday, May 30, 2025, surrounded by family. Visitation will be AT 9:30 a.m. June 11, 2025, followed by Services at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Mark's Lutheran Church 1115 Grand Ave, West Des Moines, Iowa with Burial following 12:30 p.m. at the Iowa Veteran's Cemetery, 34024 Veterans Memorial Dr, Adel, IA 50003.
Roger was born on October 19, 1937, in Conrad, IA the Oldest child of Currie E. and Magarey E. Waugh.
Roger went into the Navy after high school, then retired from the Navy reserve as a Senior Chief Petty Officer. He returned from the Navy to help on the family farm, then worked for 30 plus years at the Telephone Company and finally drove a school bus for the West Des Moines School systems.
Roger is survived by sons, Paul (Cathy) of Jacksonville, FL; David (Denise) of Jacksonville, FL; daughter, Heather (Mark) of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. He is also survived by Four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren AND one sister Jean (John) Mowen. He was preceded in death by his Wife of over 50 years Harriett, parents and brother, Richard Waugh.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to St. Mark's Lutheran Church (West Des Moines).
The family would like to express thanks to Mercy One Hospital for their care of Roger over the last several weeks.

Was saddened to hear Roger died.
Bill was in the total at the time also.
And June 26, Bill joined Roger in heaven!
We always enjoyed meeting to eat on Wednesdays when we were able to!
