Roger Wesley Wright, age 70, of County Line Rd. died Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at Kings Mountain Hospice House. He was born on May 18, 1944 in Toluca, NC to the late William "Bill" Wright and Dorothy Mozelle Bess Wright. Roger was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. He was the owner of Kevin Gray Machine Company until 2008 and then went to work at Advance Auto Parts. He was retired from Tyronota Volunteer Fire Department.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his nephew, Don Alan Wright.

Survivors include his wife of fifty years, Joyce Ann Wright; son, Mark Wright (Billie) of Bessemer City; daughter, Tawana Wright (Trent) of Kings Mountain; grandsons, Zachary Wright of North Augusta, SC, Devin Wright (Cori) of Bessemer City, Stephen Wright and Wesley Wright both of Kings Mountain; great-granddaughter, Danica Wright; and brother, Dennis Wright (Dot) of Cherryville.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Shady Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Holtsclaw and Brother Harold Jackson officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends on Sunday immediately following the service in the church Family Life Center.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Kings Mountain Hospice House, 321 Kings Mountain Blvd, Kings Mountain, NC 28086 or Shady Grove Baptist Church, 3240 Tryon Courthouse Rd, Cherryville, NC 28021.
