Rogers Lee Ludley, affectionately known as Roddy, was born in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to the late Alton and Lila Ludley on September 16, 1955. He entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at home.
Rogers was educated in the public schools of Horry County before briefly serving in the United States Army.
Rogers dedicated his life to his family and loved ones. He enjoyed being outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Rogers was also a Dallas Cowboys fan. He will be remembered for his warm heart and wonderful sense of humor by those who had the pleasure to know him.
In addition to his parents, Rogers was preceded in death by his sons, Damian Earl Bellamy and Roger Lee Ludley, II; brothers, and James Lino; and sisters, Terry Ludley and Dorothy Park.
Roger leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Mabel Faye Ludley; son, Razsean Ludley; five granddaughters, Keyshauna Ludley, Razseana Mack, Courtney Ludley, Mhyuana Ludley and Caitlyn Ludley; two grandsons, Caidyn Ludley and Razsean Ludley; three brothers, Alton Ludley Jr., Rickey (Yvette) Ludley and Kenneth Ludley three sisters: Patricia Dennison, Caroline Jankie and Alnita McCallum; two sisters-in-law, Frances Lino and Josie Ludley; three brothers-in-law, Clyde Bellamy, Rudor Bellamy, and Willie (Sandra) Corbitt; mother-in-law, Mary M. Bellamy; four aunts, Carolyn Proctor, Vivian McCullough, Isa Street and Marietta Vereen; uncle, Arthur (Elma) Carter; special friend, David Holmon; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.
