Roland enjoyed listening to music and singing. He was an avid sports fan, supporting all the Detroit teams. He will be missed by his family and friends.
Roland is survived by his children, Rose (Mark) Williams, Roger (Faith) Byykkonen; grandchildren, Kay (Brandon) Williams, Chris Bammer, Victoria (Kyle) Shafer, Audrey Byykkonen, Abigail Byykkonen; great-grandchildren, David Williams, Allen Williams; and ex-wife, Raymonda Byykkonen. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Roy Byykkonen; 3 sisters and 1 brother.
At this time, cremation has taken place and a private family interment will take place at a later date.
Memorials may be made to Stone Ridge Assisted Living & Adult Foster Care in memory of Roland.
