Steven T. Robertson, age 69, of Battle Creek passed away on September 24, 2025 at Trinity Health in Grand Rapids, Michigan with his wife of 34 years by his side. He was born on December 11, 1955 in Camden, Arkansas, the son of Hueie and Virginia(Pierce) Robertson. Steve enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1973, and received his GED in 1975 at South Kubasaki Adult High School in Okinawa, Japan. Steve honorably served in the United States Marine Corps for 25 years and retired as a Sgt. Major. During his time in the service, he was stationed all over the world for both short-term and long-terms tours. Steve loved serving in the Marine Corps and demonstrated true valor and honor during his time in the service and earned several awards and accolades. After retiring from the Marine Corps in 1997, he went on to become a corrections officer with the Broward County Sheriff’s Dept. in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In 1999, he and his wife, Patty, moved to Battle Creek, MI, where he later became a corrections officer for Calhoun County Sheriff’s Dept. Steve was a member of the American Legion Post 298 in Battle Creek and the Brotherhood Marine Corps Riders. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding motorcycles, working on cars (known as Mr. Fix it), camping, watching nascar and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Patty, daughters; Lori Hill and Jenna Theis both of Battle Creek, Marilyn (Jeff) Link of Kalamazoo, grandchildren; Audrey Gentzler, Cassandra Gentzler, Mallory Robertson, Zoey Baldwin, Karlee Hill, Marley Theis; nephew, Leland (Julie) Robertson, their children, Janelle and Jason of Colorado; niece, Heather (Tom) Morishita of Japan. Steve was preceded in death by his parents, step-father, Jim Wilson, daughter, Jennifer Robertson and brothers, David and Albert (Joe) Robertson. Memorial service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Thursday, October 2, 2025 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home & Cremation Services, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Wounded Warriors Project. Memories and condolences may be left for the family at www.henryfuneralhome.org
