Roland A. Croteau, 87, of Berlin, NH, passed away on Friday, December 19, 2025 after a sudden illness. Roland was born in Berlin on June 1, 1938 the son of the late Aristide and Germaine (Bourgault) Croteau and was a lifelong resident. A graduate of Notre Dame High School class of 1956, he served in the Army National Guard. Roland worked in the local mill for 44 years, retiring from Pulp and Paper of America in 2000. An avid card player, Roland was a member of Good Shepherd Parish, the Golden Age Club, the Holiday Center, the Berlin Senior Center and Royal Arcanum.

He is survived by his wife Cecile (Duchesne) Croteau of Berlin; his children: Gary Croteau and husband Carlos of Boston, MA, Lucy Gordon of Barre, VT and Jamie Croteau and wife Jessica of Johnston, CO; grandchildren Nathan Blanchette of Dallas, TX and Thalia Croteau of Johnston, CO; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother Normand Croteau and his wife Florence.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 29, 2025 at 10am at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish, 345 Pleasant St., Berlin with interment following at St. Kieran Cemetery, Berlin. The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, Dec. 28th from 1-3pm & 6-8pm at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin.
