Kenneth Cooley Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by YANDA & SON FUNERAL HOME - YUKON on Dec. 31, 2025.
Kenneth Lee "Ken" Cooley, 68, of Yukon, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at his home on December 22, 2025. He was born on December 7, 1957, in Berlin, New Hampshire, to Wayne Lee Cooley and Lucille Jeannine Cooley (Francoeur).

Ken proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force, later continuing his dedication to aviation in civilian life. He devoted 46 years to the field of aircraft maintenance, working as an aircraft mechanic before retiring in 2022 from Tinker Air Force Base near Oklahoma City.

Outside of work, Ken found joy in playing the guitar, often losing himself in music. He was known as an easygoing, gentle soul who left a lasting impression through his calm presence and kind heart.

Ken was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Lee Cooley, and by the love of his life, his wife Julie Lynn Cooley (Rust), who passed away on September 25, 2025. Their bond was deep and enduring, and it brings comfort to know they are now reunited.

He is survived by his mother, Lucille Jeannine Cooley (Francoeur), of Panama City Beach, Florida; his brother, Michael Wayne Cooley, and sister-in-law, Lisa Elizabeth Cooley (Fuller), also of Panama City Beach; his nieces, Michaela Elizabeth Glemming (Cooley) and her husband, Dylan, of Norfolk, Virginia; and Trista Marylene Cooley, of Cartersville, Georgia; and his great-nieces, Charlotte Elizabeth Glemming and Danielle Rae Glemming, also of Norfolk, Virginia.

In keeping with Ken's wishes, no services will be held. He will be remembered for his kindness, his quiet strength, and the love he shared with those closest to him. His family takes comfort in knowing that Ken is now at peace, reunited with Julie, and forever at rest.
