Rollan R. Ratleff, age 21, died unexpectedly on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. He was born December 26, 2000, in Bellefontaine to Poppy Dickinson of Bellefontaine, Ohio, and Robert Ratleff of Delaware, Ohio, and they survive.
Rollan was a 2019 graduate of Bellefontaine High School. He was in a relationship with Raylynn Taylor and was expecting his daughter Nylah Taylor Ratleff in January 2023. He was employed thru GLA for the past 3 years, where he was a hard-working employee and most known for his outgoing personality and contagious smile.
Rollan truly lived life to the absolute fullest through even the simplest of pleasures such as hanging with friends and family, eating good food and spending time with his nieces and nephews. Rollan had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. He could light up a room when he walked in with just his personality alone. He knew no strangers and was always there to help anyone in need. His greatest achievement he felt, and now the biggest legacy he leaves behind is becoming a father to his baby girl. We know that while he may not be here in the present, he will guide her footsteps and help mold her into an amazing little girl.
Rollan is also survived by his girlfriend Raylynn Taylor; daughter Nylah Taylor Ratleff, siblings: Landon (Taysha) Dickinson, Kyann (Julian) Cain, Xavier Ratleff, and Daitin Shelton; grandparents Robert (Carlann) Ratleff, Tammy (Martin Dean) Richardson; nieces and nephews Tay’Lynn Dickinson, Javlin and Jaxon Cain, Maggie and Macy Shelton; uncles and aunts, and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his aunt Melody Peirce, grandma Sara, and uncle Harvey.
Visitation will be held at Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Bellefontaine, on Thursday, December 1, 2022, from 4-7pm. Pastor Matt Sandlin will officiate the funeral on Friday, December 2, 2022, at 10am at First Friends Church, 808 W. Columbus Ave. Bellefontaine, Ohio. Burial will be at Fairview Memorial Park, 5079 Columbus Pike, Lewis Center Ohio at 2pm on Friday.
